Keeping Kids Safe Online: Practical Training for Parents & Caregivers
On January 5, 2026, the Dell Rapids School District will host a free, hands-on training session led by Call to Freedom, focusing on equipping parents, caregivers, educators, youth workers, and teens (recommended age 14 and above) with essential tools to keep kids safe online. The session will cover:
Defining and identifying online threats such as sextortion and grooming
Effective ways to talk to kids about technology and safety
Setting up robust parental controls
Properly reporting online abuse
Removing harmful content using the Take It Down platform
This event is designed to help adults stay ahead of rapidly changing technology and protect children in the digital world.
