Welcome Back Quarriers!

 I am proud and excited to welcome everyone back for another incredible school year in the Dell Rapids School District. As a proud Quarrier, I am energized by the opportunity to see our halls, classrooms, and activities come alive once again with the energy of our students, the dedication of our staff, and the support of our families.

 This year, we are committed to empowering every student and staff member to succeed both in academics and in activities through collaboration and teamwork in our buildings.  We believe that excellence happens when we work together, support one another, and set high expectations for learning, growth, and achievement.

 I am especially proud of our new reading initiative, which is grounded in the Science of Reading. This approach will provide our teachers with proven strategies and resources to ensure that every student becomes a confident and capable reader, setting the foundation for lifelong learning.

 Over the past year, we have engaged in a comprehensive strategic planning process, working side-by-side with students, staff, families, community members, and the Board of Education. This year-long effort has given us a clear vision and a practical roadmap to guide our success in the years ahead. We will be finalizing our plan in the next few months, and will use this plan as our compass, keeping us focused on what matters most – OUR STUDENTS!!

 I am looking forward to building strong relationships with our new staff members and welcome them to Quarrier Nation!! I also look forward to meeting more families throughout our community and strengthening the partnerships that make Dell Rapids such a special place to live and learn.
