A little bit about me… Hello, I am Dylan Ljunggren and I am excited to be a part of your child’s academic journey. I grew up and graduated from high school in Dell Rapids, as a Quarrier. After graduating, I attended Dakota Wesleyan University in Mitchell, SD. At DWU, I continued my academic and football career and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. I spent the next few years volunteering with the South Dakota Junior Football Program and my experiences within the program pushed me to pursue my Master’s degree in Education. I attended the University of Sioux Falls and completed my degree in education. Outside the classroom, my life revolves around my family and sports. I enjoy spending my time on the golf course, at the lake, or watching football (GO BIG RED; GO PACK GO). Aside from teaching, I am also excited for the opportunity to coach junior high football and golf. GO QUARRIERS!

Some FUN Facts… I have never left the US, but I did spend a month in Hawaii. Brett F4vre is the best football player of ALL-TIME and there is really no argument. I have had 6 surgeries on my right knee and none of them were very fun. The Huskers will probably win the National Championship this year and Aaron Rodgers will most likely be the NFL’s MVP. If I didn’t love DELL RAPIDS so much, I would move somewhere with only ONE season and a golf course open 12 months out of the year.

WHERE ARE WE GOING?... We are going to North America, South America, Europe, Australia, Africa, Asia, and Antarctica. We will circle the globe and focus on the different regions and the people within those regions throughout the year. To begin the year, we will act as geographers and explore the different tools and maps used to understand Earth. From there, the curriculum is divided into 7 world regions. I look forward to incorporating educational technology in our journey, as our main resource will be the online textbook through TCI. Throughout the year, we will work on our projects and activities as a class, in groups, and individually. I look forward to the adventure!
