Title IX requirements and training. New Title IX Federal Regulations have been in place since Aug. 14, 2020. The regulations require that a school district’s Title IX coordinator receives training on how to serve impartially and without bias pursuant to § 106.45(b)(1)(iii). In addition § 106.45(b)(10)(D) requires all training materials to be published on the Dell Rapids School District Website. Our Title IX Coordinator, Mr. John Silvernail, was trained through the State Bar of South Dakota, School Administrators of South Dakota (SASD), and Associated School Boards of South Dakota (ASBSD). Training materials for this training utilized resources from a number of sources including the U.S. DOE, NSBA/COSA, and other resources.
All DRPS staff participated in Mandatory Title IX Compliance training. The training was provided by SafeSchools (Vector Solutions).
